Contacts, Events and Websites>  Local Authority Websites

The useful website links have been organised into three sections.

The Government Websites section includes DfCSF, QCA and National Curriculum links. These are mostly guidance and information rather than activities.

LA websites have advice, guidance and links to useful websites that have activities.

The Other Websites section includes national organisations’ and individuals’ websites with useful activities.

If you are new to working with pupils who are learning English as an additional language (EAL) and are looking for activities you can use with pupils you may find the Other Websites section the best place to start. It has some simple straightforward activities for working with EAL pupils including those who are new to learning EAL (recent arrivals to the UK who do not speak English).

If you are new to working with EAL pupils and would like some advice and guidance you will find useful links in all three sections.
